Ballyhaunis Summer Festival continues this year over the June Bank Holiday.  A 6-day Festival starting on Wednesday 30th May 2012 up to and including Monday 4th June 2012.  The Festival is bigger and better than ever this year with events running for 6 days instead of the usual 4.

Fund raising events are taking place throughout the year to fund this extravaganza, with prizes donated from businesses in the town.  We would like to thank all our sponors and volunteers, without whose valuable help this Festival would not be possible.

Wednesday 30th May - Public Lecture by Evelyn Cusack - Ireland's Weather - A Journey Through Time  

Thursday 31st May - Inter-Pub Quiz - sponsored by Ballyhaunis & District Credit Union

Friday 1st June - Party in the Park - A free concert in the Friary Field

Saturday 2nd June - Family Fun Day - Fun and Games for everyone (€ 2 per child)

Saturday also sees an Open Fishing Compeititon at Derrykins Lake  - see here for details

Sunday 3rd June - Traditional Fair Day - Stalls, Animals, Bikes, Cars, Free Entertainment

Monday 4th June - Inter Pub 4-a-side Football challenge - Will your pub win?

There is also an ART EXHIBITION being held in the Friary from 26th May - 4th June.  This is run by the Local Artist Group.  The title of the Exhibition is "FROM A WOMAN'S PERSPECTIVE"  All welcome to come along and view the work.

A Children's Art Competition is also being run with entries displayed upstairs in Supermacs
